Rally ROD's History

For those who are too busy to study the more detailed history as outlined here, we have prepared this brief synopsis to help you see the tremendous and rich history of The Rally ROD. It was just a few short years ago that a long-buried archaeological site near the Acropolis was unearthed in Greece. Many items were found there and it was later determined that the site was a sacred burial site of the "Ancient Ones".

Tablets of ancient writings were also found and through exhaustive work using super advanced computers, the writings proved the existence of the Greek Gods long considered to be mythological. The writings also described another item discovered at the site that clearly overshadowed everything. It was the discovery of The Staff of Reverence.

The founder of The Rally ROD was in the right place at the right time and was the first to learn of the power of The Staff of Reverence aka The Reverential Staff. He has tapped into the magical power of this ancient tool and now you can feel the power of it when you play with your very own Rally ROD. To learn the more detailed, complete history, read below.

A rich history dating back thousands of years ago

Up until about 2 years ago there remained land in Greece that had not been archaeologically explored. It was on the north side of the mountain to the left of The Acropolis and down the road about 26 miles the exact length of a modern day marathon. Coincidence? You decide.

Tablets found in a graveyard

What they discovered was what appeared to be and later was verified to be a sacred graveyard. Along with many skeletons there were two very interesting finds. Nicely stacked in front of an altar were a pile of nicely-rounded sticks/staffs. Whatever was attached to these staffs had long since eroded away. Today we would say that it was bio-degradable. The first intriguing piece of the puzzle that was ultimately solved was that all of these small cylindrical staffs were precisely the same length - about 10 inches. There were easily enough for each skeletal remains one or more for each person buried at the site. Strange, indeed!

On the altar were tablets on which there were ancient writings. The writings were of a language previously unknown as it was in a strange never-before-seen dialect.

Deciphering the tablets

From my unverifiable research I learned that the Greek government may have sent the tablets to the U.S. where the world's fastest computers were used. I wonder how many of you have also heard about super secret computers existing in science labs buried deep in the Black Hills near Mt. Rushmore. If you have never driven through the Black Hills, then let me tell you there are roads there that appear to go nowhere.

Regardless, the tablet writings were deciphered and the words proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that ancient Greek Mythology was not a myth at all. It was in fact quite real. Of course this is a startling revelation. Who knew? The Greek Gods we all thought were mythological were in fact very real. Real Gods in Greece? Wow! This alone has already begun to silently change the world's theological understandings, and some would argue this was the greatest finding on these tablets.

However, as more deciphering continued the greater find was the proof of what those strange cylindrical staffs were. They were identified on the tablets as Greek Reverential Staffs! As I read about the Greek Staffs it became clear that if I could replicate them today, then they would give great power to modern day society.

This, my fellow earthlings, is what led me to continue the research that ultimately led to the creation of the modern day Rally ROD.

The tablets told of a wondrous time when the Greek Gods were enjoying the great track and field events that we know today as The Ancient Olympic Games. The Greek Gods would look down from the Acropolis where they resided and watch the games. Spectators as they sat in the stands would watch the events and always had these Reverential Staffs carried in pouches dangling from their waists.

A tradition at the Ancient Greek Olympic Games

When The Ancient Greek Olympic Games would begin and as the excitement grew, the spectators would remove their Reverential Staffs from their secure pouches and wave them in the air to show their own excitement at being at the Games. Of course, the waving and shaking of the Staffs also showed appreciation to the Greek Gods for allowing the games to occur. It was a grand time back in those days. The Greek Gods appreciated the love and support from the people as exhibited in part by the waving of the Reverential Staffs. Blessings of good health and happiness flowed from the Gods to their people. Life was good!

The Greek Reverential Staffs

The writing on the tablets described the design of The Reverential Staff but was not clear as to the actual material used. They were draped with some material wrapped around one end, going down the sides and practically covering the entire length of the Reverential Staff.

The tablets noted that everywhere the spectators went to watch sporting events they took their Reverential Staffs with them, secured in the pouches dangling from their waists. On windy days they would remove their Rally RODs from their pouches and the wind would carry the material into the air as the ancient Greeks waved their Reverential Staffs.

As I studied all of this I went to the history books and studied more about ancient Greek mythology. I now knew as you now know that Greek mythology was real and not fiction. The logical conclusion from this is that all the stories we thought were just stories were in fact real life events.

A personal quest

This was almost overwhelming. I was on a quest for more knowledge about the Staff and how it was used. I wanted to know why these Reverential Staffs were so named and why every ancient Greek had one. I started to review the ancient stories, reading them again with this new desire for knowledge.

The first story I read again was about Jason and The Argonauts and the Golden Fleece. After careful research it was clear why Jason went in search of the Golden Fleece. The Gods must have wanted this or similar soft material for some reason or they would have never sent Jason off on such a dangerous journey. It had to be the material used in the making of the Reverential Staff. Things were starting to come together for me now and fast.

On the written tablets there was mention that the Reverential Staffs also made a gentle ding-a-ling noise. I had more research ahead of me and luck was with me.

Demetrius' story

Recently I was having a chocolate malt at a local coffee shop and ran into an old man who I had never seen there before so I simply said hello. When he answered I immediately recognized what I thought was a Greek accent, so I immediately confirmed this with him. I shared what I had found and he nodded, telling me there was indeed a story he heard as a child while living in Greece. He also told me the story was never written but only passed down by word of mouth. This explained a lot as to why The Reverential Staff had never before been replicated. What luck unbelievable!

The story he shared was about a blacksmith named Demetrius. Demetrius was quite accomplished artisan and was known to make special small bells, but never seemed to sell them. Yet, he was wealthy and very generous to the people in the village where he worked in his little shop.

Once a week at dawn's early light a golden chariot driven by a team of very strong horses would roll to a stop in front of Demetrius' shop and take bags of these bells away. The only logical conclusion was that these bells were attached to The Reverential Staff under the soft fleece-like material. The soft material had a dual function. It protected the little bells from being damaged while they made a soft ding-a-ling type noise. I was incredulous about what I had stumbled upon because of a chance meeting in a coffee shop thousands of miles and thousands of years away from ancient Greece!

From the strength of Hercules, we learned that The Reverential Staff came with a solid grip to ensure your Rally ROD did not fly out of your hand when it was in use.

How this came together

Now all of this came together for me. My mind was swimming with all these thoughts.

The tablets found at the ancient burial site told of the events of the very first Ancient Olympic Games. The Greek Gods as a gesture of love for their people would have brand new Reverential Staffs placed on each seat at the opening of The Ancient Olympic Games.

There was peace and prosperity throughout the ancient times and the Greek Gods were pleased. Sadly, as all of the ancient ones passed onto into eternity, the secrets of The Reverential Staff were lost and civilization changed.

However, even today we see remnants of this ancient tradition. At the recent Beijing Olympics, do you remember the flags that were paraded in the opening performances on long sticks? Now you know where this tradition came from.

I am on a mission to bring back the great peace and prosperity of ancient times. I have recreated The Reverential Staff and renamed it The Rally ROD.

So when you wave your Rally ROD you are paying homage to the wisdom of the Ancient Greek Gods for the great gift they have given us. This is why I refer to The Rally ROD as one of most highly and technologically advanced low technology toy ever made... for a greener environment!

Some who read this will likely have doubt as to the truthfulness of this story. All I can say is that I am 100% in agreement with you. Who would ever believe this? At first I was unsure, like you. The only way you will know if there is any possible truth to all of this is to purchase a Rally ROD. Go to sporting events and ask your friends if they would like to play with your Rally ROD. I would recommend you not ask strangers if they want to play with your Rally ROD. The joy you will bring to your friends as they play with your Rally ROD will be magnified right back at you.

Share the joy! Honor The Ancient Greek Gods and honor yourself! Get your very own Rally RODs today!
